Riverdale Hall Hotel
Riverdale Hall Hotel lies on the banks of the North Tyne salmon river, on the outskirts of the small market town of Bellingham, Northumberland. With southerly views over its own cricket field, and Dunterley Fell (part of the Pennine Way), it is situated in the hilly and rugged fells of the Northumberland National Park. Nearby are Kielder Water and Kielder Forest, and of course Hadrian's Wall. This is indeed walking, fishing and sporting country.
Originally built as a Victorian Mansion for a leading railway developer in 1866, the present owners, the Cocker family, purchased the hotel from Lord Strafford in the late 1970s and have tastefully converted it into one of Northumbria’s most outstanding Country House Hotels.
